Special Olympics Great Britain has helped train 19 new sports leaders, who will subsequently become new volunteers within the movement, thanks to the Sure Breaking Limits Programme. The programme has seen 19 students with a disability participate in the Sure Breaking Limits Sports Leaders Programme at Portland College in Nottinghamshire and Eccles Sixth Form College in Greater Manchester.

By competing at Special Olympics Great Britain's first National Winter Games, in Italy, Stephanie visited the country of the person who saved her life as a baby. She had open heart surgery and a stroke as a new-born, and later suffered bullying at school. However, she's overcome it to win multiple medals thanks to her passion and commitment to ice skating.

ok... then, i guess we're doomed, haha! :-) i agree with the love part, i just dont need a god in my life to love. im not sure why you think the special olympics would make anyone suddenly think god exists. though obviously it's great if it makes you feel closer to your god, id recommend putting it in less strong or just more personal words! :-) for example: "This clip made me feel such love for God, I'm so glad he (or she? not sure which God you believe in!) granted these people the ability to play!" its less pessimistic and way more personal, so you don't encourage responses from atheists, like myself! :-)

Some people might look at this and wonder...come on, man!...but, take into consideration where these athletes might have started from and where they are now. The journey and hard work that they put in is admirable and worthy of respect. I have no doubts they've trained just as hard as any other standard Olympian athlete, they've just had their own battles and challenges to overcome along the way. Fantastic and well done by all of these athletes, as well as their training staff!
